01 / THE BUYING QUESTION
What must fit inside the sleeve, and which external feature fixes its installed position?
02 / READ THE GEOMETRY
Details that shape
the requirement.
Long internal envelope
Provide the insert or sensor-assembly envelope and required clearance. Define insertion depth, end condition and any regions reserved for wiring or later assembly operations.
Stepped end collar
Identify the collar surface that locates the sleeve in the equipment. Relate that surface to the inserted assembly and any required external projection.
Closure and contact interfaces
Specify the mating closure, retention or sealing detail where required. Provide the relevant section view instead of leaving internal connections to general housing notes.

Which diameters, shoulders and thread features control your assembly?
Shafts, pins & mating fitsONE PART. THREE BUYING DECISIONS.
What matters
to your team?
Define the functional interfaces.
Locate the internal assembly from an explicit reference. Provide separate requirements for the completed device’s sensing and environmental behavior.
Discuss your engineering requirementsMake the quotation comparable.
Clarify whether the quotation covers a metal sleeve or later assembly operations. List cleaning, joining and test scope individually.
Discuss your purchasing requirementsAgree the acceptance evidence.
Keep dimensional inspection and insert-fit observations separate. Record the insert revision and assembly condition used to approve the sample.
Discuss your quality requirements03 / A PART-SPECIFIC REVIEW
From feature
to machining brief.
01Coordinate sleeve and insert references
Share the sleeve drawing, insert geometry and assembly sequence. Identify which dimensions control sensor placement and which simply provide space for installation.
02Review material and final condition
Specify stainless grade, surface requirements and any cleaning or joining constraints. Provide operating conditions needed for the mechanical review and identify additional system validation separately.
03Agree dimensional and assembly evidence
Select bore, collar and length checks for the report. Define any trial insertion with a nominated insert revision, then state separate requirements for sealing or completed-device testing if needed.
04 / BEFORE SAMPLE APPROVAL
Agree what
acceptance will show.
Verify the specified internal envelope and insertion-depth references.
Check collar geometry and the required installed projection.
Inspect contact edges and document any agreed insertion or closure trial.
