01 / THE BUYING QUESTION
How should the central thread and flange mounting pattern locate against the mating mechanism?
02 / READ THE GEOMETRY
Details that shape
the requirement.
Central threaded interface
Provide the complete mating thread specification and engagement length. Identify the screw or threaded component used for review and any assembly movement that needs a separate evaluation.
Flange seating face
Mark the face that contacts the machine structure. Define its relationship to the central interface and the required seating condition when the fasteners are tightened.
Four mounting holes
Dimension the hole pattern from functional references. State hole form, fastener clearance and any orientation requirement rather than leaving the pattern to a photograph or model interpretation.

Machining and a dimensional check

What matters
to your team?
Define the functional interfaces.
Identify the intended mechanism and acceptance criteria explicitly. Treat motion, load or backlash requirements as separate engineering inputs to the component review.
Discuss your engineering requirementsMake the quotation comparable.
Keep thread gauging, hole-pattern reporting and trial-assembly responsibilities visible in the quotation. Confirm whether a mating sample must be supplied.
Discuss your purchasing requirementsAgree the acceptance evidence.
Use a common reference scheme for the central interface and flange pattern. Record thread inspection separately from observations of the assembled mechanism.
Discuss your quality requirements03 / A PART-SPECIFIC REVIEW
From feature
to machining brief.
01Connect the mounting references
Share an assembly view showing the screw axis, support structure and fasteners. Identify which surfaces locate the nut and which only clamp it in place during installation.
02Review thread and secondary features
Agree the thread definition, flange dimensions and hole pattern on the same drawing. Discuss access for the required features and record any proposed change before approving the manufacturing scope.
03Plan the acceptance sequence
Define dimensional checks first, then any trial engagement with a nominated mating screw. Describe mounting conditions for the trial so a sample decision can be repeated by the receiving team.
04 / BEFORE SAMPLE APPROVAL
Agree what
acceptance will show.
Check the specified central thread and usable engagement requirement.
Verify mounting-hole size and location relative to the nominated references.
Measure the flange seating relationship and record any agreed engagement trial.
